Frances Bavier (December 14, 1902 – December 6, 1989) was an American actress, best remembered for her role when Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show in the 1960s.

Bavier & Andy Griffith did not develop along, for which Bavier was sorely penitent in her dying bed.

Bavier appeared around several plays in Broadway, including Point of No Go to alongside Henry Fonda, and played a a portion of Mrs. Barley in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still.
